Thank you for hunting down this cache on the League City GeoTour! We are excited about this location because Countryside Park is one of the stops along Clear Creek which flows from west to east through League City and empties into Galveston Bay. Before 1902, League City was known as the town of Clear Creek. You can still enjoy the natural beauty of the creek by kayaking along the Clear Creek Paddle Trail, which has several launches throughout the City, including this park location!
If you have kids, make sure stop by the upgraded playground to get out some energy; or take a walk on the short trail and look for coastal birds. The birdwatching in League City is amazing, especially by the creek.
