Geocache Description:

This is the first cache I have hidden and where better to start than out on my front door. The cache is located at Snib Scott's Cave (not Sawney Beans as according to Google maps) .The cave is situated about two and a half miles north of Ballantrae just off the A77.

This cave was inhabited by Henry Ewing Torbet, also known as Snib, for 20 years until his death in 1983 at the age of 71. Once a former bank clerk from Dundee, he went on the move and ended up living living the life of a hermit. He was a proud man and would not accept charity. From the cave you look out onto the Irish Sea and Ailsa Craig. Snib's memorial cairn is situated a short distance away.

Cache is big enough for trackables and swaps.
