MOGA2020 has a theme of "The Roaring 20's". The MOGA caches are named from 1920's gangsters, bootleggers, and bank robbers. The park-n-grabs are named after 1920's slang.

Geocaching at Mark Twain Lake is available year-round. Certain areas are closed to pedestrian traffic at certain times of the year, such as for the Fall Deer Hunt for Disable Persons, Spring Turkey Hunt for Disabled Persons, Youth Hunts, and Mentored Hunts. The dates and times of these events are posted on the Mark Twain Lake website and social media outlet. Geocaching within the bounds of an open campground requires cachers to get a geocaching pass from the fee attendant’s booth. Geocaching is permitted in areas that are closed during the off-season. Geocachers can park near the gated entrance, not blocking the roadway, and enter the area on foot. For further information, check the following website and social media outlet for more information.
