lstead Rise Recreation Ground lies to the northern side of the village of Istead Rise. The main access to the site is via Worcester Close, on its southern side.
The area features a number of recreational facilities including an enclosed multi-sports play area for basketball and football, a playground and football pitches.
This site also attracts dog walkers and ramblers as public footpaths link the site with other areas, and the wide accessible open spaces of the recreation ground are perfect for getting out in to the open air.
Approximately 5 hectares in size, Istead Rise Recreation Ground consists mostly of areas of managed grassland, with an area of broadleaf woodland on its western side.
Parking is available outside the community centre at the entrance to the site. This park and open space has well surfaced routes suitable for visitors with pushchairs and/or wheelchairs, and has no width restricting features, such as stiles or non RADAR kissing gates.
