This is the location of the Kings County Almshouse and Poor Farm.
It was built in 1899 to house the poor, destitute, infirm and mentally challenged individiuals.
Before the introduction of the Almshouse in Norton, paupers were sold in public auctions in Sussex on the last day of the year.. Although the auction was the Government providing money to someone to house the pauper for the year.
The auctions ended upon the opening of the Norton Almshouse, as it was deemed a less expensive way to manage the destitute.
Also children would have benefited from the almshouses, as the adults were allowed to take their children with them, whereas prior to that they were given to less than ideal guardians until the ages of 18 for girls and 21 for boys.
While being housed in the poorhouse, people were provided food, shelter and clothing, however it was not ideal in the least.
Life in the almshouse was extremely hard in New Brunswick as it was said that the "food of the pauper is too often reduced to the lowest standard capable of sustaining life".
To 'earn' their keep the residents would be given chores to do.
In this puzzle, you will see a few of the things that they would need to do.
The cache is at the posted coordinates, you just need to figure out how to get to the log.
