Geocache Description:

Klein-Hangklip mountain dominates the village of Rooi-Els and is home to a pair of Verreaux’s eagles. The estimated terrain elevation above sea level is 255 metres.

The trail takes you up the back of the mountain to the trig beacon, and a spectacular view of the sea and the village from the top.

This cache was placed along the trail to the top, where GC43WDQ “Hitchhiking to the South Pole?” is waiting for you. With a T4.5 rating, you can expect a tough walk up. It is direct and steep, but only about 800m long. It should take you about 1 to 1.5 hours to the top, depending on your fitness level and cache finding abilities. There are 4 caches on the trail from the parking, so your ascent can be roughly broken into quarters, getting progressively steeper as you go up.

During the steep climb, you might be tempted to ask “are we there yet?”...

Please note that you are in an isolated mountainous area, so your coordinates may be slightly off. Use the hint and spoiler pic if you struggle.
