Geocache Description:

This is the first in a series of caches in the newly created Diamond Wood.

The Wood.

Created in 2012, 50,000 young trees have been planted by volunteers to create the woodland from agricultural farm land, after the Rainsbrrook Crematoriam was built at the top of the hill.  The large glades & trees make this a great habitate for Deer, Birds of Pray, Foxes, small mammals and birds.  As well as walkers, the paths on this lower part of the site are available to horse riders with support from the British Horse Society to help to create safe spaces for riders.  There is a riding school and stables a few hundrad yards up Onley Lane.

This area is clay, meaning it will be very muddy in winter.  Boots or wellies are essential in winter or after a prolonged spell of heavy rain.  Please watch out for young cachers as this cache is near the horse enterance from Onley Lane. you could do this as a cache and dash, but please be carefull where you park.

Small keyring container with a log.  Please bring you own pen.

This cache has been placed with the kind permission of Rugby Borough Council.

Congratulations to s_nich on your FTF.
