K.E.T.'s GOLDEN AMMO CAN - Ringwood Edition

Congrats to K.E.T. on reaching her golden geo-milestone with 1000 cache finds (as of summer 2019)!

We are pleased to celebrate her with a traditional Golden Ammo Can geocache. K.E.T. is best known for her botanical geocache series featuring in-depth information on local plants, so her honorary cache is appropriately placed at the Ringwood Nature Preserve and is filled with golden wildflower swag. The Ringwood Preserve holds several K.E.T. hides and covers 220 acres of upland forest and is maintained by the Cornell Botanic Gardens. In addition to the mostly beech-maple-oak forest, the area has several kettle ponds, vernal ponds, and a moist hemlock swamp forest.

K.E.T. burst onto the Ithaca caching scene in February 2015 and has not slowed down since ... and if you have had the pleasure of caching with her, you will know that it is also hard to keep up with her while hiking the trails! She is better known for her abundant hides (#459 to date in NY + FL) than her finding rate, so we are especially pleased that she has reached this milestone. Her first cache placement, Ithaca's TB Hotel, holds the honor of being the area's most-favorited cache with 131 favorite points to date!
