Please note that archery hunting is permitted by permit from October 1 - December 31 by permit. Use extra caution during this time if you see others in the parking area. I had the whole place to myself when placing the letterbox. Autumn is one of my favorite times to take a walk out here to enjoy the pretty autumn colors. As you can see this was once an old blueberry farm that was aquired by Laketown Twp almost 20 years ago. I have been here many times in the fall without nobody here. Now to find the letterbox.
At the posted coordinates start across the trail crossing the bridge and keep following the trail as you go up a slight Hill. The trail will level off and start to bend around to the right. Reaching an open area you will soon reach a point where the trail starts to head downhill if you look toward the East you should see a red colored shed. Quick check out the creepy shed if you want. There is a trail leading to it. Return to main trail it is here it then turns toward the west and heads down hill. Soon you will come to a bridge that will cross you over a small stream. Shortly past that you will come to a trail intersection at this point turn left. Keep following the trail as it will soon curve back towards the west and at this point you will notice that you're on a slow gradual downhill descent
You will soon find yourself at the southern end of a fairly large open area. The trail flattens here. The trail then will start to turn back towards the North and soon you will come across another trail that branchs off to the west or to your left. This is at the point where the trail then starts to go due north again. Take the trail that goes to your left. After a short distance you will be passing by several evergreen trees and then you will find yourself near a small pond to your North. Take a minute to enjoy and reflect on the nice scenery out here. At this point turn back around and walk a few feet back the way you came and to your right or the South side of the path you should spy a small evergreen tree growing in between a pair of multi-trunk trees. This is also where there are two fallen trees and it is right behind the fallen ones that you will find what you seek. Please rehide well so it is not accidentally found. Please do not take the stamp or ink pad. That is part of the letterbox. Hope you enjoyed your nice little stroll out here in Huyser farm.
