One Tree Hill Adventure Lab Bonus
One Tree Hill was formerly called Oak of Honour Wood and was a working woodland at the Northern end of the Great North Wood. The top of the hill offers amazing views over central London.
In 1896 a private golf club purchased One Tree Hill and erected a 6 foot fence around it. This caused uproar in the local area and the 'Enclosure of Honor Oak Hill Protest Committee' was formed. It has been calimed that more than 10,000 demonstrators came to a couple of protests! Eventually Camberwell council bought the hill for £6,000 and it was opened to the public in 1905.
This cache is the bonus for the One Tree Hill Adventure Lab. The numbers for the final cache location can be found in the journal for each Adventure Lab Zone.
The walk can be completed in approximately 30 minutes. The 5 Lab zones can be visited in any order. The cache is not on One Tree Hill but it is very close by. The paths are a mixture of tarmac and hoggin and there are some steep steps. Some parts can be muddy in winter.
