Geocache Description:

This series commemorates my 50+ years of snowmobiling and the 20 snowmobiles my family and I had fun on during that time. In 1967, our family started snowmobiling in Syracuse, New York. Back then we would ride on Oneida Lake, or any field we could get permission to ride on. A special thanks to Mark & Glenn for helping me with this series.

This was our 19th sled and it was purchased new. This was our third and final “2-up touring” sled. We still have this sled to this day. It has a 600cc liquid-cooled twin cylinder, Variable Exhaust System (VES) motor producing around 110 horsepower. This sled has special sentimental value to me because it was the sled my Dad rode from 2001 up until 2016. We went riding together several times a season, even up until he was 90 years old! Nowadays, it's the sled my girlfriend and I ride the most. It has given us many years of enjoyment with no major issues. I am planning on keeping this sled for as long as possible. The sled still looks great after 19+ years of use because we kept great care of it, as we did all of our sleds. Even the day we purchased it was sort of a special event. A local TV crew came in and did a story about the snowmobile shop. My Dad & I (and the sled) ended up being on TV. The shop is no longer in business, but it was called LeBaron's Powersports, located in Troy, Michigan.

Congratulations to Bandit35757 on the FTF!
