Geocache Description:

If the lake is closed please be aware that this does not include the public footpath. When the lake is closed parking near Dorney Loop #No 1 is also closed and parking on the road can be dangerous. The Car park near Dorney loop #No 10 is often still open but with time restrictions often closing at 3.30pm. Please check the signs.

It has been reported on a local facebook group that a nest of Adders has been found Close to Boveney Church #no 11 in the loop. For this reason I have added the dangerous animals attribute to this loop.

This is a large loop covering approx 4 miles. There are some lovely sites along the way with Dorney Lake being a key main feature in the middle. This was used during the 2012 Olympics.

Other sites include Boveney Church (used in Robin Hood prince of thieves) and Oakley Court too. The loop will also take you along the Thames path so please be careful with children and the water. All of the caches in the circuit will not be on the waterside of the path for safety reasons.

There are car parks available near #1 and #10 however please check the Dorney Lake website for opening and closing times. They are also likely to be closed during events.

This walk can be done with a bike but its not all suitable for strollers. Some of the caches require you to leave the path. You will need tweezers and a pen for some of these caches.

Please be sure to replace the cache back where you found it with the lid securely on.
