In the mid 1970's there were significant upgrades made to the Bass Highway between Burnie and Launceston with many underpasses installed to allow Stock and Farm Vehicles safe passage from one side of the Highway to the other. This Tunnel was put in in 1975.
Access to the Underpass/Tunnel is via School Road or turn off the highway at The Big Spud and turn left at Cornelius Road. There is parking available at the beginning of the Tunnel access road from both sides.
BYO Pen. Please be aware that there are a lot of blackberries in the area so good shoes might be helpful. There are no blackberries near the actual cache though. Take care to rehide carefully in its hidey hole.
