Vi fu un momento, intorno alla metà del 1700, in cui Bassano divenne il centro più importante d'Europa per l'industria tipografica. I Remondini con le loro stamperie avevano creato un impero con più di 1000 operai e producevano immagini sacre, carte da parati, giochi e libretti a carattere fiabesco. Il segreto del loro successo fu la produzione a carattere popolare e una rete commerciale basata sulla vendita porta a porta.

The Remondini prints
Around the mid-1700s, Bassano became the most important center in Europe for the printing industry. The Remondini family had created an empire with more than 1000 workers and produced sacred images, wallpapers, games and small fairy-tale booklets. The secret of their success was popular production and commercial network based on door-to-door sales.
