GEOPHYSICAL SNO-PARK
Welcome to Geophysical Sno-Park! This popular Nordic trail system just outside Newport, WA offers 6.2 miles of rolling terrain with a few steep pitches through stands of Douglas fir and ponderosa pine, providing many viewing opportunities of wildlife. Deer, bear, elk and many other mammals and birds have been seen in the area. The trails are groomed weekly during the winter months and are part of the Washington State Sno-Park System. The trails also provide opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding during the summer months. Each trail intersection is well-marked with trail names and distances. There is no parking or access fee during the summer. In the winter you need a Sno-Park pass, to help with the costs of grooming the trails.
Sno-Park Passes can be purchased at all Forest Service offices (There is one in Newport.) or online at the Washington State Parks and Recreation website:

You can also download a map of the park from that website.
