Linda oli vägev naine, kes kandis omal ajal kokku Toompea mäe ja tema pisaratest tekkis Ülemiste järv. Tema noorem poeg ei olnud just kõige teravam pliiats, aga see-eest oli ta väga ettevõtlik. Siiski väärib kangelase ema oma aaret ja nüüd on tal see ka olemas.
Nullis asub vana Kalevi residents. Nüüd, mil Kalev Toompea mäe all igavest und magab, on hoonel uued omanikud. Sinna sisse pole vaja trügida. Kui teid sinna viiakse, siis muidugi on selleks arvatavasti mingi põhjus. Mälestus Kalevist on jäänud bussipeatusesse, sinna on tema auks nimega tahvlid üles seatud.
Aga hoopis huvitavam on, kus kohast võiks leida tema naisele, Lindale, pühendatud aarde. Lahendus on lihtne, sest kõigil eestlastel on ju rahvuseepos Kalevipoeg peas. Või kellelgi ei ole? Andrus Vaarikul näiteks oli, saates “Kitsas king”.

Ühe küsimuse puhul peab vajadusel välitöid tegema, aga ka silma järgi on võimalik täppi panna. Kalevipoja trükid on suhteliselt sarnased, nii et kõik raamatud peaks andma õiged vastused. Minu põhilised allikad olid 1961, 2003 ja 2009 aasta trükid.
In the Estonian mythology Kalevipoeg, Linda was the mother of Kalevipoeg and the wife of Kalev. She was a mighty woman who carried the rocks which formed the Toompea hill and whose tears created lake Ülemiste. Her youngest son was, perhaps, not the sharpest tool in the shed - yet he was very enterprising. However – the mother of the hero deserves her very own cache and now she will have one.
At zero point you will find old Kalevs residents. But as Kalev is resting forever under the hill, houses have new owners. No need to barge in there, unless you are invited. You may find remnants of memories about Kalev at the bus stop – you can see signs there with his name on them.
But you should be more interested in where to find cache dedicated to his wife Linda. If you happen to be Estonian, then this mystery should be easy for you, as you should know this national epos by heart. Or is there someone who has not?
One question might take you to do some fieldwork, but eyeballing could save you a trip. Editions of Kalevipoeg are quite similar, so it should not matter which volume you use to get the right answers. My main sources were 1961, 2003, and 2009 editions.
