Geocache Description:

Take the Painted Rock exit from I-80. Cross the one lane bridge. Make a left turn approximately 200 yards past the bridge, onto Painted Rock Ranch Road.

The property owners have granted permission to keep this cache on their land, on two conditions. 1. Obey the posted speed limit. 2. Leave no trace of your visit.

June 7 2004- I received an email from the property owner, we wanted me to tell evertone that he has spotted several snakes, including rattlesnakes in the area. So as always, be aware of your surroundings, and keep a sharp eye out for critters!

I made this an easy cache for travelers on Interstate 80. From the site there is a nice view of the colored rocks that give this area it's name.
When I hid the cache, I was receiving 9 satellites full scale.

Cache is in an ammo can, painted in desert camouflage colors.
The original contents of the cache:
-The Guinness As Usual travel bug, trying to get to Ireland.
-A map of Ireland
-A Reno Air Races patch
-A new modular telephone jack
-A dust cleaner for computer monitors and TVs
-A race game CD-ROM
-A heavy duty electrical extension cord
-A mini Frisbee
-A Nevada Highway Patrol Buckle-up keychain
And of course: A log, Pen, and Geocache letter to be left in the cache.

As always, watch for snakes. I surprised 2 mule deer when looking for a spot for this cache; they like to hide in the tall brush.
