Jackie and I were out tweaking "Whisper" just up the trail and we stopped so I could show her this hide that I remembered well after some years, especially the nifty hide hole. I could still see the original hanger and pulled it out to show Jackie the cache. Turns out the bottom and log had fallen out and were nowhere in sight.
Being good neighbors, Jackie tended the nearby baby snake sunning on the trail this beautiful November day while I went for a suitable container and log to help. When we got home and I went to the listing to post a note on the volunteer maintenance, we found the cache had been archived not so long ago. So, Sumac Hide is a replacement of suzisumac's original cache at the same nifty spot, which suzi or anyone else can adopt if they would like. It was memorable enough to want to show the hide to someone else.
