[DE] Der Vordere Wöllanernock (2.090 m) ist dem Gipfel des Wöllanernockes (2.145 m ) um etwa 900 m Richtung Süden vorgelagert und hat ebenfalls ein eigenes Gipfelkreuz. Das Gipfelkreuz am Vorderen oder auch Kleinen Wöllaner Nock, wie er von den Einheimischen genannt wird, ist auch als Puschitzkreuz bekannt. Ab dem Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts wurden erstmals in der Literatur Gipfelkreuze erwähnt. Diese Gipfelkreuze beschränkten sich jedoch in dieser Epoche auf sehr wenige Ausnahmen.
Das erste größere Gipfelkreuz wurde 1799 von den Gebrüdern Klotz auf dem Kleinglockner errichtet.
Erst Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts, als die Mystifikation der Berge allmählich schwand und der touristische Reiz der Bergwelt entdeckt wurde, wurden vermehrt Gipfelkreuze errichtet.
