We are taking a dip into setting catches to keep us occupied during lock down for the corona virus pandemic of 2020. We consider ourselves as seekers rather than hiders. Hopefully, this series epitomises what we enjoy about caching, an orbital route, not too far between caches and quick finds.
The series takes around 2 hours to complete and takes you on a circular tour of about 5½ km where the ruins of Pevensey Castle are mostly within sight with stunning views of the downs, it contains 10 traditional caches, a multi cache and a bonus it will also incorporate 7 other traditional caches which are either on the trail or very nearby.
The route can get muddy during wet weather and livestock are kept in the fields so dogs will have to be on leads.
Park in the car park at Pevensey Bay and pick up the Church Micro 9346 Pevensey- St Wilfred by Vimmes which is nearby carry on the Pevensey Bay road towards Eastbourne and pick up Watch the Birdie #9(Pevensey Bay) GC2FRR6 by Lost in the Woods.
