Garrison's Lake is not the most accessible body of water. From the brambles and poison ivy to the steep hills on the South side of the lake, and the quicksand like mud along much of the perimeter that prevents you from getting close enough to fish in most spots. Despite being tricky, it's still got some beauty to behold.
There are three routes to access this cache:
#1 Park at the boat ramp, follow the path closest to the water and then up the hill as you close in on GZ. The trail from the parking lot is rugged, very narrow in some spots and possibly slippery.
#2 Park at the boat ramp and take the path up the hill by the porta potty. Follow the woodsline behind the houses (this is common area) until you see a clearing on your right by the retention pond. Head in there.
#3 Use the parking coordinates for a quick and easy route in to the woods.
There is NO bushwacking needed. Please bring a bag with you and CITO if you have some time! Garrison's Lake boat ramp is notorious for being trashed by it's users :(
