Welcome to the 21st cache in the series of Ambarvale Glen Alpine And Surrounds. A series of simple caches in the small parks and reserves in the area. The cache is a micro so please BYOP. There is no room for anything. Stealth is required as it in fairly plain view of prying muggle eyes. Please ensure the cache is closed properly and replaced carefully.
Many of the Streets, Parks and Reserves in Ambarvale have been named based on the books and life of Charles Dickens.
So what are we doing here? Well may you ask!
While out running with my friends the other day, we passed this park, which I have run past many times before, and I considered why in the world is this park in this part of Campbelltown? So I tried to get to the bottom of it. My research didn’t really help much at all. But what I did find out was that the name Bow Bowing is pretty much a misspelling of an aboriginal word for a creek in the area, and was called Boro Borang.
So what brings it into the AGAAS series?
Well, it appears that this particular creek has its roots in Glen Alpine, so that to me gives me the right to make it part of the series!
