The basic idea of the Reverse Wherigo is to locate the final, being given only the distance to it from your current location. There are two basic ways of doing this using the “Reverse Cache Box” that is located in the Inventory of the cartridge.
The first way is to go to three arbitrary points that you think surround the final and ask the Reverse Cache Box how far away you are. Once you have three sets of coordinates and distances you can triangulate exactly where the final is.
The second, and much more common way, is to drive around near where you think the final is and keep asking the Reverse Cache Box how far away you are. Eventually you will find the distance getting lower as you drive towards the final and eventually, when you are close enough, the final coordinates will be placed into your inventory.
When you start the cartridge you will need to answer a few basic questions. You will also need to input these numbers which are specific to this cache.
