Geocache Description:

It's A New Mexico Cattle Guard #9

We got the idea for this series from the IACG (It’s A Cattle Guard) series in Colorado by kekj.

On one side of a standard cattle guard, off the road, there is usually a bypass cattle gate; often the area on either side offers a convenient place to park.

As always, look carefully for unfriendly flora, fauna or barbwire before reaching.

The cache may be on or near the cattle guard.

If cache contains water, please dump it out, sign log, and replace where you found it. Thanks.

Be aware that this cache is on an oil field road which may become impassable after rain or snow storms.

Cache is log only, so bring your favorite writing instrument.

The cache is on Rio Arriba CR 378. The easiest access is by Rio Arriba CR 378, which leaves U.S. 550 on the east/south side of the Lybrook compressor station and goes Northeast.

Cache is a small sports drink bottle top.
