This cache is hidden in amongst some rocks beside a tarmac road above the small gorge of Laggos, about 1km outside the village of Vafes, heading up into the foothills of the White Mountains.
There are some fine views on the way up [or down] the road that overlook the village of Vafes and down towards Georgoupoli.
Down in the gorge are the Krionerida Caves and the cave church of St John the Hermit. These are easily accessible [and well signposted] from the centre of Vafes village, not from the top of the gorge where the cache is sited.
