Geocache Description:


Located along the beautiful riverwalk in Central Park, Mishawaka. May be very busy in nice weather. Take a moment to stroll the trails and enjoy the waterfall. The cache is a magnetic micro.
     The Mishawaka Fish ladder is an integral part of the St. Joseph River Trout and Salmon Project. This Project was conceived in the 1970's by the Indiana and Michigan Departments of Natural Resources in consultation with the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Project infrastructure consists of a trout and salmon hatchery and five fish passage facilities. These fish ladders enable migratory fish to move freely throughout the lower 63 miles of river, from Lake Michigan upstream to the base of the Twin Branch AEP hydroelectric generation dam and facilities.
