Geocache Description:

19 December 2020, 08:00 - 12:00

Once again, the Brevard Zoo has called upon the Space Coast Geocachers, requesting our help. Remember now, they call upon us because they know we will tackle head-on any project and get it done.

EVENT: For this event, the bear habitat is in need of repair. We will be changing the substrate of the bear house. This will involve shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, lifting, bending and twisting. Hard, dirty work.

EVENT DATE: Saturday, 19 December 2020
TIME: This event starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. and goes until Noon. Of course, you are free to leave earlier if you need. We will meet at the picnic tables outside the main entrance. We need to enter the Zoo as a group, so please be on time. Stragglers may miss out. You will also need to bring your signed 2020 waiver (which I will e-mail to each of the attendees as you sign up).

The Zoo will provide the tools and direction. We will provide the labor. Please wear appropriate clothes and shoes (no open-toed shoes) for a work day. I would suggest wearing something you won't mind getting dirty, very dirty. Gloves (highly recommended) and sunscreen would be helpful too. Refillable (non-disposable) water bottles only. (You know, the ones we all won at Cacheapalooza).

Come prepared to work hard, have fun, and be safe. Afterwards, we'll gather up for our traditional 'job well done' photo. So, come on out and support our very own local zoo.

Special 2020 Notes: Masks/Face Coverings ARE required. Please be aware of your surroundings and practice social distancing while we work. Hand sanitizer will be on hand.
