On December 4, 2020, Yolo County’s Grasslands Regional Park opened to the public. Opening day seemed like as good a time as any to place a cache or two to point it out. The 323 acre park features approximately 1.25 miles of walking trails and a 10 acre off-leash dog park. During parts of the year, sheep are used to manage the grasslands and there is a sign on the gate to the non-paved portions of the trail with the warning:
PLEASE CLOSE GATE DO NOT LET SHEEP OUT
After you find and sign GRP&T #1, this placement leads you toward the warning sign and main walking/sheep area to the east.
We hope you enjoy your visit but watch your step as there are squirrel holes in abundance.
PARK HOURS ARE SUNRISE TO SUNSET
