The site area is 57,020.46 square meters; the building height is 37.7 meters, 2 floors underground, 6 floors above ground, reinforced concrete structure, partly steel structure; the design of the architect Toyo Ito is based on the most primitive "tree house", The concept of "cave" designs Bel Canto culverts, and the internal walls are curved surfaces. There are 58 curved walls, which are extremely difficult to construct. With avant-garde style, Toyoo Ito uses the concept of "Sound Cave" with unique designs such as curved walls, holes, and tubes. The entire building is completely free of beams and columns. This subverts the concept of general buildings, with arc curves and glass. The curtain, the surrounding green space and flowing water become a garden in the city. The front shape is like a curved hip flask, with a cylindrical window on the surface of the pot, which shows elegance and warmth with light projection at night. The internal space includes the Grand Theater (total seats in 2007: 13 wheelchair seats, 133 seats in the orchestra area, and 1861 fixed seats in the floor area), the Central Theater (total seats 794 seats: 8 wheelchair seats, 94 seats in the orchestra area and floor The district has fixed seats (692 seats) and a small theater (total seats 200 seats, including 2 wheelchair seats). Other building facilities include underground parking and related public spaces. The surrounding landscape design of the building also uses a bird's-eye view of the Bel Canto culvert for overall planning. It has the first double-layer stage in the country, which can be transformed into various types of main stage, front stage, orchestra pool, auditorium, and prop handling platform by using the lifting platform hidden under the stage. Among them, the auditorium seats on the orchestra platform are stored in the orchestra lifting platform The lower floor slab can be used to move the seat to the upper floor by using the translation trolley to lift the orchestra platform and turn it into an auditorium.

基地面積5萬7020.46平方公尺；建築高度37.7公尺，地下2層、地上6層，鋼筋混凝土構造，部份為鋼構造；建築師伊東豊雄的設計，以人類最原始的「樹屋」、「洞窟」的概念設計出美聲涵洞，內部牆面均為曲面。共有58面曲牆，興建難度極高。造型前衛，伊東豊雄以「美聲涵洞」（Sound Cave）概念，採用曲牆、孔洞與管狀等別具一格的設計，整棟建築完全沒有樑柱支撐，顛覆了一般建築物的概念，圓弧曲線、玻璃帷幕，環繞的綠地、流水成為城市的一座花園。正面造型猶如曲線的酒壺，壺面鑲上圓筒窗，夜晚隨燈光投射展現出優雅與溫暖。內部空間包含大劇院（總席次2007席：輪椅席13席、樂池區席次133席及樓板區固定席次1861席）、中劇院（總席次794席：輪椅席8席、樂池區席次94席及樓板區固定席次692席）及小劇場（總席次200席，包括輪椅席2席)，其他建築設施有地下停車場及相關公共空間，建築周邊景觀設計亦以鳥瞰的美聲涵洞做整體規劃。擁有全國首座雙層舞臺，可運用藏在舞臺下的升降平臺變化成主舞臺、前舞臺、樂池、觀眾席、道具搬運平臺等各種型式，其中樂池臺上觀眾席座椅收納儲藏於樂池升降平臺的下層樓板，可利用平移臺車透過樂池臺升降將座椅移動至上層樓板，變成觀眾席來使用
