Geocache Description:

We have made the difficult decision to archive this series, we no longer have the time to maintain it to the standard it deserves. We appreciate that over 300 people have solved this series who have not yet found the caches and we are therefore giving six months notice so cachers can complete the series. We are intending to archive this series on or after 31 March 2023.

#01 Geo Hound

Geo Hound is a geo art series of 71 caches. Complete the puzzles to be rewarded with the coordinates for each cache which once all solved forms a circular walk. Wikipedia is the source of the information for the questions.

This series is based around Hound Dogs specifically Bloodhounds and Basset Hounds and feature our Geo Hounds that come on our caching adventures.

The geo art is placed around a Site of Special Scientific and features a 280 acre nature reserve which is home to ancient woodlands, reed beds and important populations of several bird and amphibian species. Please take care when retrieving and replacing caches. There is around a 1.5km gap between #28 and #29 due to a proteced Wildlife Trust area which does not permit caches that the route passes through.

There are a few refreshment stops and picnic areas around the loop to stop for a break and an opportunity at the time of setting for several extra caches to be picked up on route.

All caches in the series are bookmarked here: Geo Hound Bookmark List

The best parking location can be found at the parking coordinates given on number #01. There are a variety of containers on the route, please ensure these are returned to their hiding spot in the state you found them for the enjoyment of those who follow you.

If you have any issues with caches please log it or message us and we will come by and check as often as we can, we are happy for logs to be replaced if you have spares. Please do not throw down replacement caches.

Cache placed with the kind permission of Anglian Water.
