While driving back from Sioux Falls in September of 2020, after a road trip celebrating my retirement from public service, I was tired and missing my husband and two dogs. I stopped to get a cache named Mr. and Mrs. Moo, GC8XXAV. It was so cute, and it really brightened my day. I decided to replicate the cache in Topeka, but with a bit of a twist. I placed Mrs. & Mrs. Moo, GC91CV7, to reflect our changing world and the importance of acceptance.
Not wanting to leave the guys out, here are Mr. and Mr. Hopper. Once upon a time, Tanner Hopper and Jerome Jumper fell in love. They dreamed of marrying one day but two men could not marry at the time. Today, they are able to celebrate their love and be their genuine selves. Acceptance and inclusion are good things, folks.
Jerome decided to take Tanner's last name so they could be the Happy Hoppers.
The hide isn't my favorite type of hide, but I wanted to keep the cache container protected from the elements as much as possible. This area can be very busy at times and completely empty at others. Use stealth if a sporting event is in progress. Happy caching!
