One of the upsides of this disaster that is 2020 is that The Lady Bison and I have done lots of walking. For our morning walks we've often gone to the open spaces found on the outskirts of town. The Putah Creek Riparian Reserve is one of our favorite choices as there are walking trails wide enough to allow for social distancing. The scenic views include experimental planting areas related to the agricultural research being done at UC Davis on the north side (the roses are our favorite view during the spring, summer and fall) and the moving water of Putah Creek on the south side.
We discovered that, although much of accessible area is covered by proximity zones of caches already placed by us and others, there was a little hole available. This morning, during our walk we filled that hole with this, our seventh placement in the reserve.
The reserve is open from Sunrise to Sunset.
