Here you can see a bridge of the Galong to Boorowa Branch line that was opened in 1914. The line branched off the still operating Great Southern Line at Galong and ran in a north-easterly direction for 29 km to Boorowa. The line ceased operation in December 1987 after 73 years. At this location there a gap in a railway bridge over the road. I guess trains must have had to pick up speed to cross here !
