Park at the Constellation Trailhead on Hwy 89 directly across from the Phippen Museum. Its locacted about 1/2 mile south from the intersecton of Hwy 89 and Hwy 89A also known as Pioneer Parkway.
There is a $3.00 parking fee for the day. The kiosk is right by the restrooms at the northeast end of the parking lot. This is a pet friendly trail area but please be a good pet owner and pick up after your pet so others may enjoy there journey in this great park. It offers hiking, mountain biking trails, and it is very family friendly. There are a number of trails within the park but they are marked well with white dots sprayed alnong the way on the rocks. At different intersections each one shows a sign telling you where you are on the current trail and directions to other intersecting trails.
When searching for our cache stay on the main trail when you first enter the hiking area. Stay to the left and it is about .80 miles to our cache. It is not a difficult walk and children can get to this cache easily. This a good family cache and there are a number of trinkets for children and adults.
This park was originally set up as a memorial site for a military airplane which crashed in 1959 on a training mission. There is now a memorial located about 1/4 mile after leaving the trail head.
