La gare de Berchem Sainte-Agathe a joué un rôle très important dans l’histoire de l’ancienne usine Nestor Martin. Employant plus de mille personnes, souvent arrivées par la gare de Berchem Sainte Agathe quasi annexe et installée dès 1930 le long du chemin de fer qui la desservait , l’usine Nestor Martin fabriquait cuisinières et poêles de toutes pièces , car comprenant en un même lieu la fonderie (quatre fourneaux) , la tôlerie (vingt-cinq presses) , l’émaillerie (douze fours) et les ateliers y afférents .
Les trains de marchandises apportaient les matières premières et repartaient avec la fabrication. Cette usine, la plus moderne du pays au départ, devait disparaître en 1986 par manque de renouvellement de sa production et de sa technologie.
La cache est donc un petit mémo, mélange local de gare, d’atelier et de produits.

Het station Sint-Agatha-Berchem speelde een zeer belangrijke rol in de geschiedenis van de voormalige Nestor Martin-fabriek. Meer dan duizend mensen tewerkstellen, vaak aankomend aan het station van de quasi-bijgebouw Sint-Agatha-Berchem. De fabriek van Nestor Martin, opgericht in 1930 langs de spoorweg die haar bediende, vervaardigde kachels en kachels uit alle delen, aangezien op één plaats de gieterij (vier ovens), het plaatwerk (vijfentwintig persen ), emailleren (twaalf ovens) en aanverwante werkplaatsen.
