This garden was established in 2006, (in memory of Rene Smilansky) 2003-1908 Born and resident of Rehovot, daughter of Tzela and Moshe Smilansky. Rene has been involved in volunteering for the public for many years. The Bible, the Hebrew language, the landscape of the land and gardening took a central place in her life.
The kindergarten is open to visitors (young and old) who will enjoy a well-kept kindergarten and eye-catching signage. Students from kindergartens and schools as well as adult groups come to this kindergarten - free instruction is available.
The garden is located at 39 Yaakov Street in Rehovot. It covers an area of about 1700 square meters and has four main units: plants from the beginning of the colony, fruit trees, trees, shrubs and aquatic plants. Most of them are wild plants and are mentioned in the Bible.
גן זה הוקם בשנת 2006, (לזכרה של רנה סמילנסקי ) 2003-1908 ילידה ותושבת רחובות, בתם של צלה ומשה סמילנסקי. רנה עסקה שנים רבות בפעולות התנדבות למען הציבור. התנ"ך, השפה העברית, נוף הארץ ועבודת הגינון תפסו מקום מרכזי בחייה.
הגן פתוח למבקרים (צעירים ומבוגרים) אשר ייהנו מגן מטופח ומשילוט מאיר עיניים.לגן זה מגיעים תלמידים מגני הילדים ומבתי הספר וכן קבוצות מבוגרים - ניתן לקבל הדרכה ללא תשלום.
הגן נמצא ברחוב יעקב 39 ברחובות. הוא משתרע על שטח של כ-1700 מ"ר ובו ארבע יחידות עיקריות: צמחים מראשית המושבה, עצי פרי, עצים, שיחים וצומח מים. רובם צמחי בר ומוזכרים במקרא.
