Geocache Description:

The creek's name is Silver so there needed to be a cache called Hi-Yo.  Highway 166 can be busy at times so please be careful when parking.  There is a good pull off to the east of the cache.  You can park closer but again BE CAREFUL.

Silver was the name of the Lone Ranger's horse.  There were 3 horses that played the part.  The first Silver was a horse named White Cloud.  He died in 1959 at the age of 21 or 22.  He is buried at the Hudkins Brothers Ranch in Hollywood,Ca.

The next Silver was "Tarzen's White Banner".  He was renamed "Hi-Yo Silver" by his new owner George W Trendle.  Hi-Yo Silver lived out his life at the Wayne Burson Ranch and passed away in 1976 at the age of 29.

The third horse was "Traveler".  He became the USC Trojan Mascot at football games.  It is unknown where and when he passed away.

Silver was an all white horse but the one you are looking for has a black tail and mane.  The cache is a SILVER bison tube.

Congratulations to mylesgrant for FTF!!!
