Kauri Glen Park features large Kauri trees, Taraire forest and the Waiurutoa Stream. Adjoining Kauri Glen is Cecil Eady Bush with its new boardwalk for our walking enjoyment. Due to Kauri Die Back disease many of the pathways in this reserve are closed. Recently new cleaning stations have been installed and some of the trails upgraded for our walking pleasure.

Back in 2015 on an adventure to this park we stumbled across this mighty macrocarpa tree. We thought placing a hide here would add too and enhance the local geocaching experience. At the time due to distance constraints we were unable to place the cache where we originally wanted. Today those constraints are no longer present and we are able to set up a cache at the mighty mac.
After locating the cache sit back & relax under the Acorn trees, have a pinic before carrying on to Cecil Eady's Boardwalk (Auckland).
The cache is a micro container container attached to something. No room for swaps. BYOP. Neighbors are close by so stealth mode required.
Happy hunting
