Welcome to HAG XVII. Can you believe that it’s 17 years for HAG?!
This year, the theme for HAG XVII is survival and for some of us HAG truly is survival. Some cachers like us, are streakers and depend on HAG to keep things going. Other caches have simply run out of caches to find, so it’s nice to refresh the gameboard. I must say, 2020 has absolutely been a year of survival, so on to 2021!!! Let this year be much better.
HAG? What is HAG? Island and surrounding area cachers might just know what HAG is. But for all you who don’t, here is what it’s all about. HAG stands for Hide And Go. We put our thinking caps on when we find out the theme and the creativity begins. We start hiding in November, which is the 90 day requirement before we want the caches published. They are published the first Saturday in February, and even more fun begins. Caches all over the island are being found and admired. There are some very cool trophies, to be won after a month or so too.
A 2WD will do for most of these but there are a few that require a 4x4 or a vehicle with some clearance. The views along this series are spectacular. Hopefully, you will get a clear day to enjoy it. HAG really stands for fun, so go out and have fun. You're looking for a cc special and should be a QEF. Happy HAG caching.
