Red Hill ViewPoint . . . Revisited

The cache, a small camo-taped tablet pot is hidden a short distance from this wonderful viewpoint with stunning views over Simon’s Town and along and across False Bay. It is also a great place to spot visiting Southern Right Whales from August-October!
Don’t forget to upload your photos of the view (and yourself!) along with your log . . .
The given coordinates are for the large parking area at the viewpoint.
To find the cache, click on the image above which will give you access to a jigsaw puzzle. The cache coordinates and hint will be revealed on completion of this.

It is the successor to my original cache at the location - GC1R7VF Red Hill ViewPoint which was hidden on 11/5/09 and archived on 8/1/21 after some 236 finds. This was archived as the cache area had become very overgrown and heavily littered and therefore quite unsuitable.
Of course, the viewpoint may sometimes become a high muggle intensity area, but as the cache is hidden a little away from the main area you should be able to carry out caching operations will little disturbance.

But, as always you should be aware of potential observation in order to preserve the security of the cache. Early morning is a great time to be there as it will be quiet and you will get the sunrise over the Hottentot Holland mountains across the bay which can be spectacular – especially in April and May.
Another quiet time would be after dusk when you will see all the lights of Simon’s Town and around the bay.
Both of these are of course weather permitting – this spot is pretty exposed to the wind and rain if there is any unpleasant weather around!
