The VFW tells me this is a 1946 Bulldog tank. It was never used in combat and was given to them by the Milwaukee American Legion.
In my research, I see the Bulldog tanks, better known as M41 Walker Bulldogs, weren't designed until 1949 and produced more during the Korean War. So if this tank was produced in 1946, either this is a prototype or the more common M24 Chaffee tank light tank.
If anyone with knowledge on tanks knows, please let me know so I can update this page.
