Geocache Description:

This cache is not at the posted coordinates

In 2017 a movie was released called "The Elevator Game" and that is about all it has to do with this cache. I never did see the movie but did read the synopsis, and decided I would write a better story. I have yet to. (GC95A4A) "Dad's on a hunting trip and hasn't been home in a few days."

The actual Elevator Game is a Korean and Japanese urban legend. Basically, if you go to a building that has at least 10 floors, take the elevator and go to certain floors in a set order you will then enter a different world where electronics don't work. Electricity also does not work and there is a glowing red cross in the distance. Certain things can happen while you are performing the ritual that will cause you problems and, once you are there, other things can happen that will also cause you problems; that is if you leave the elevator and explore a bit.

Looking into it, there are a few stories of people who played the Elevator Game, screwed up and were soon after concerned that the end was near for them. I have not really found any stories where the person went to the other world and looked around some without some bad consequence. Also I have not found anything where a person has played the Elevator Game and another person has reported them as not returning. Any milk cartons and "Have you seen me?" cards I have checked have not mentioned anything like "last seen entering the elevator at the Johnson building."

I myself have yet to try the game so cannot say how true it is. I think when I am old and not doing much else, I may give it a shot. I am too curious to not do all of the things that are considered verboten in the game so it may be an interesting ride.

What does all of this have to do with finding a cache you ask?  As stated above you have to go to certain floors in a certain order. You start on the first floor and go to 7 floors after that. One of them is floor 10. Taking that out you have 6 buttons that you press for floors for the elevator to go to.

This would be the order of the floors:

Floor 1   _____  _____ _____  _____ 10th Floor  _____ _____

Your first task is to get the 6 numbers in the blanks.

If you add the first three digits to the north decimal minutes and add the last three digits to the west decimal minutes you will get the cache location.

But wait! Before you start crunching numbers, you should know that I scrambled the digits, so the first three digits and last three digits that will get you to the cache are in a different order than the order of floors one would go to if they were to play the game.

Once I looked it up I discovered that with 6 digits, one can get 1 million possible combinations. Well, that is a bit more than I would want someone to work out. So I am including three clues to get the number of options down to something more workable. They are in ROT13 in case you want to  go for it without them. If you do, I would be curious as to how long it takes to solve it.

Here are the clues:
