Once Beaumont’s raucous red-light district, Crockett Street consists of five impeccably restored buildings built at the turn of the 20th century. Whistle Dixie at the dance hall, sing “I’m so vain,” and ponder what life would’ve been like in the roaring ‘20s if you were swinging from the rooftops (seriously, there's a swing outside).
Beaumont’s entire downtown core is listed on the National Register of Historic Places—one of the few areas like it in the country.
