This is a cache in the Lawrence Forest Friends series of letterboxes. Feel free to continue the story in your log.
Please leave the stamp and sharpie in the container! They are what makes this a letterbox. You'll need to use the sharpie in lieu of an ink pad.
There was a little bear in the woods that was looking forward to a long nap this winter. It is true that bears do not truly hibernate, but the little bear had been very hungry and ate his fill of fruit, fish, and honey. So, he was very tired and looking for a nice comfy den. He had been traveling for some time and finally came to a big gate. He sat down, reached up, and tried the knob. It turned right around and opened easily. He walked into the den, and to his surprise, a beautifully furnished den. A sofa, a rug, and a wonderful chair. But the best thing was a roaring fire in the fireplace. Just outside the door stood a snowman, as tall as the little bear. The snowman said, "Hello, little bear. Welcome to my house. Come in and have some warm applesauce."
