Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden and named by one of the local Scouts BSA Troops as part of the Geocaching merit badge. It was put on this account so it can be archived if the time comes.

The name is a combination several of the scouts came up with and voted on. It “loosely” means -  Rock Gem Treasure – It was originally placed in an ammo can, but before posting it, we realized a smaller container was better suited for this spot.  It does NOT require going near the edge of any steep drop off.

From experience, this side of the lake can sometimes (not always) wreak havoc on a GPS. We came back and tested the coordinates a couple of times and they are pretty good. PLEASE take the couple extra moments to rehide it well!

It’s located in Winding Hills County Park with a multitude of other geocaches. There is a year-round parking lot on the East side of the lake and the geocache can be approached on the trail that circles the lake. As the name of the park denotes, there is a hill. If you get to the top of the hill just before or just after the cache, you will be rewarded with a nice bench to rest your feet!

And a shout out to “Ziggy Cache” which use to be at the top of this hill and was one of the 1st our Troop found back in 2006
