Geocache Description:

** please be gentle getting the cache, cache is large enough for small tokens).

This is a Tribute to a Legend J. H. "Preacher Glass" who was Wewahitchka's Chief of Police for many years, in fact, he was the only city police. He was on call 24/7 and loved his town and the people.  He helped a lot of people in this town and in the surrounding area.   If you ask anyone that has lived in Wewa back in the '60s to 80's they can tell you many great stories about my Dad, yes my  Dad. I was lucky to call this man Daddy.  If you knew him or heard a story please share it in your post.  I hope you enjoyed the trip to this spot.

The poem on his grave was Written by Sheriff Frank McKeithen who was a great friend of our family.

I could write a very long post about this great man but don't want to overload the system :).

If you knew him or would like to know more you are welcomed to join the Facebook group remembering preacher glass, it is a closed group you just answer the question and we will be glad to accept you.
