Geocache Description:

A wastewater lift station is a pumping station that pumps wastewater (sewage) from a lower elevation to a higher elevation.  This is useful because the gravity-propelled sewage can continue to flow downhill, even if the terrian is going uphill, without the trenches for the sewage lines needing to be crazy deep.  This can reduce the costs of placing the sewage lines.  All of this can seem a little gross, but luckily in this case it's all contained in a small cinder-block building, with not a sight or smell to give it away.  We all kind of hope that the nearby grassy bowl area isn't for sewage overflow...

This geocache is starting out with several sea animals in it, in the spirit of the water facilities and the beach-related street name.  We recommend parking on the nearby cul-de-sac rather than on Sandhill road, especially if you have kids in your party.

Note that you do not need to go into anyone's backyard to find this cache.  You can get to it from just behind the pumping station.
