During this ‘different’ year figgy30 and I have chosen to go for a hike or a walk nearly every day. We are still amazed at the beauty of the area we live in. Today was cold and windy in town, much colder than we are used to. We chose to come out to Stamp Falls for our walk today and were pleasantly surprised that there was no wind and it was much warmer than in town, even though our phones said it was -1C. Stamp Falls is one of our absolute favourite locations in the Alberni Valley and was beautiful even on this Friday in February of the Family Day long weekend. We were very surprised to see 3 of the campsites occupied, 2 trailers and one one couple in a TENT. Brrr. They said it was great camping in this weather but the secret was having a good quality warm sleeping bag.
All 4 of the caches we placed today are in compliance with B.C. Parks Regulations. We have marked ‘Geocache ‘ on the outside of the containers and our contact information is on the inside of the containers. As per parks regulations please do not place any attractants to animals on or near the caches. (Food, candy etc.)
This Cache is placed on a trail near one of our favourite campsites. We are friends with the park caretaker and he is aware we have placed a cache at this location. Please use stealth during camping season. BYOP. Remember Geocaching rules state no signature, no smiley so please always sign logs, otherwise they may be removed by the cache owner.
