Everyone in this area loves Tom & Mary and how much they have enriched the local caching community. We all look forward to their creative hides, always look forward to seeing them at events, love Mary’s pictures, and cherish those times we run across them on the trails.
TomEagle 55 started in September of 2009, got hooked fast, and got to 1000 in less than a year! In that time, they had made so many friends along the way that the local community crafted an epic 20 stage adventure for them: https://coord.info/GC2AX0E
That was just shy of 10,000 caches ago for them.
The post-publication FTF and LTF on their 1,000 commemorative cache have conspired to place something new in Busse that we hope is a fitting tribute to a couple of our favorite people and acknowledge the Wow! of being on the home stretch of their journey to 11,000! Yeah, we’ve jumped the gun a little on this one. But the timing is just too good to pass up, giving them the option to walk here in the next few weeks or wait a bit to paddle to it.
