March 2020...we were just weeks into the pandemic lockdown. I'd been spending a lot of time on my computer, learning ways to connect that I'd never tried before. It was at least comforting that much of the rest of the world was in the same situation I was, in this regard.
Needing a break, I took Geodog Juniper for what would turn out to be one of the first of many hundreds of walks around Downtown San Jose. Only about a mile from my house, I was exploring an unfamiliar street when I casually glanced up. There, posted high up on a building across the street, was a large word that I had never noticed before.
"Well", I thought to myself, "it looks as though we really ARE at the Center of the Universe".
